A film about illusions and their impact.

Imperial Illusions is a film about how Britain created a fantastical illusion about empire, in order to justify control and imperial exploitation, and how when that imperial illusion was crumbling, Britain attempted to bury its imperial past and focus instead on a historical narrative of the fight against fascism.
